Don Tyler has operated the Redwood House since November 1996

He has been a life-long collector of rare Victorian antiques. As an active member of the Oakland community for over 30 years, he has taught history at a local high school and volunteered with the Oakland Heritage Alliance as a preservationist, docent, and an Oakland tour guide. Don has a personable manner with people. And when speaking of his guests he can be heard to say, All of my guests have been fabulous.
